Not cruisin' for a bruisin' with these knee pads.

For Christmas Ava's abuela gave her a pair of knee pads for when she would be crawling on our hardwood floors. I could not believe they even made baby knee pads! It looks like she is either going to play volleyball or participate in a roller derby. I just thought she looked hilarious in them. I also had to show her abuela that her granddaughter's precious knees are being protected.

Bath Time

Ava loves bath time (and yes, her bath is our kitchen sink). She really enjoys chasing her toys around and splashing her hands in the water.

On the Move!

Our little Ava just started crawling! The last few weeks she has only been able to move backwards and around in circles. Then yesterday, she finally figured it out and now our little one is on the move. Check out the video and watch her go!

So here is the typical scene of what happens when Mark and I eat around the kids. They just stare up at us with the most pathetic look begging for a piece our delicious food. It use to be just Marley who would mooch but now Ava is right along with him....so sad.

8 Months Old

Ava turned 8 months old today. She has began to crawl except she seems to only be able to move backwards. I have a feeling this little one is going to be on the move soon!

It has been raining for days here so Ava was finally able to use her cute winter coat. She decided to pose with her favorite jungle animals. I, of course, used my best Austin Powers voice to get her to pose like an animal....yeah baby!

Papa Prein

I love you grandpa!

Last weekend Ava's Grandma & Grandpa Prein were in town visiting. Every time her grandparent's visit our home they are amazed at how many "baby gadgets" we have for just one little tiny baby. These wise grandparents may be on to something. It seems that an item as simple as a beer bottle can be her favorite form of entertainment. Ava was so focused and determined to try a sip of her grandpa's beer we had to pry her little fingers away from the bottle!
